Ken Jeong's American Heart Association PSA

Ken Jeong's American Heart Association PSA

Obviously heart disease is no laughing matter. But if Ken Jeong can use a little humor to get a very important message out there, we're going to listen!

The Hangover star has teamed up with the American Heart Association to create a new PSA, instructing the public how to perform Hands-Only CPR in a sudden cardiac arrest emergency.

Jeong, who practiced medicine before becoming an actor, busts onto the scene in a Saturday Night Fever-like white suit and teaches the two steps to remember if someone is having a heart attack.

"Call 911, then push hard and fast!" he says. "Focus! And, yes, the beat to 'Stayin' Alive' really works." After treating us to some hilarious dance moves, the actor drives his message home: "Disco can save lives."

Though he acknowledges the silly nature of the PSA, Jeong says the message he's sending is an extremely important one.

"I may play insanely crazy and comedic characters on screen, but as an internal medicine physician in real life, I want people to know that sudden cardiac emergency is a serious matter," he told UsMagazine.com. "Immediate action can be the difference between life and death. Everyone needs to know it’s in their hands to help save a life."
