Sandra Bullock is putting her highest-paid actress status to good use. On Thursday, the American Red Cross revealed that Bullock has donated $1 million toward the organization's earthquake and tsunami relief efforts in Japan. It's the largest celebrity donation revealed so far (although it's possible that other high-profile folks have donated anonymously). Bullock made the donation on behalf of "her family."
"This contribution is vitally important as the Red Cross works to provide critical assistance and essential relief items in this time of urgent need for so many people in Japan," said a Red Cross spokesperson. Bullock, who has said she's a "better person" since adopting baby Louis last year, has definitely raised the bar for celebrity efforts in Japan. Lady Gaga and Katy Perry are both selling merchandise to generate funds for victims, while the Black Eyed Peas will use their new video (shot in Japan days before the disaster) to generate awareness for the cause. Then there's Charlie Sheen, who is donating $1 for each person who buys a ticket to his live comedy show. And while that's likely to be a six-figure sum, Sheen could use the good publicity from a million-dollar donation -- and frankly, he could afford it. Sandra Bullock ought to give him a call. If you want to help the nation of Japan through this awful tragedy, you don't have to have a million dollars in your checking account -- you just have to text REDCROSS to 90999 on your phone to donate $10 (details here). Think that such a small amount couldn't possibly make a difference? You'd be wrong: So far, the Red Cross has raised $2.6 million since last Friday in $10 text message donations alone.Source: http://www.ivillage.com/sandra-bullock-donates-1-million-japan/1-a-332932

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez hit Twitter over the weekend and the world let out a collective, "Awwww!"
The Biebs, who recently took his act to Europe for his tour, seemed like he was missing his lady love and was not afraid to show it. On Sunday, he tweeted this simple message for Gomez: "I miss you."
Selena didn't let the post go unnoticed, as she very publicly responded to her beau's online note just hours later. "I miss all of y'all," she wrote.
When he wasn't busy flirting with his lady on Twitter, Bieber was busy tweeting a series of lyrical snippets from Drake songs after posting a note that read, "favorite drizzy lines." He also solicited fans' favorite lines from the Canadian MC's tracks.
Among the Drake tracks Bieber tweeted quotes from were "Successful," "Shut It Down," "The Resistance" and "Over."
"I want it all thats y I strive 4 it, Diss me and you'll never hear a reply 4 it," he wrote. "This lost boy got fly without Peter Pan and my delivery just got me buzzing like the pizza man ... You feel the hours pass until you find somethin' I feel like when she moves, the time doesn't ... That's word to the millions that they puttin' up I'm tryna be better than good enough ... I could teach you how to speak my language; [Rosetta] Stone I swear this life is like the sweetest thing I've ever known."
In addition, Bieber took time to thank his fans for all their support and also shared his latest plans for his look. After causing a stir recently when he cut his hair, Justin revealed that he intended to undergo another hair-related style change. "Im not shaving for a month so you all can see my mustache... im pumped," he shared.

For many celebrities, their relationship with the prying lens of the paparazzi has always been love/hate. Some bask in the attention and others complain of being hounded relentlessly by hungry photographers. This week, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez were caught up in a paparazzi kerfuffle while celebrating the Biebs' 17th birthday in Los Angeles.
After giving the paps the finger during the encounter, Bieber later apologized via Twitter. But he's only the latest in a long history of celebrity/celebrity-photographer encounters: Everyone from Lily Allen to Coldplay's Chris Martin to Sean Penn (the king of paparazzi knockdowns) has had heated moments with the paps. Here, we look back at some of the more memorable run-ins.
Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz
Like Bieber and Gomez, then-couple Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz were involved in a scuffle with the paps in 2006. Diaz claimed a photographer tried to run her over, while the photographer claimed the actors had trapped him as he was trying to get away.
Björk in Bangkok
Björk lashed out a photographer at Bangkok airport in 1996, attacking a female photog who was trying to take pictures of her as she made her way through the airport. Things quickly got physical. The singer also attacked a paparazzo in 2008 in New Zealand, also at an airport, ripping his shirt.
Britney Spears and an Umbrella
During a more trying time in Britney Spears' life, the singer, who had recently shaved her head, attacked a paparazzo's SUV as a pack of photographers looked on. Using an umbrella to carry out the attack, it was believed that Britney was feeling the pressure of the prying paparazzi lens when she wailed on that car in 2007.
Russell Brand and Katy Perry
In 2010, Russell Brand attacked several paparazzi while he and his soon-to-be-wife Katy Perry made their way through LAX. Brand was convinced the photogs were tying to sneak inappropriate pics of Perry.
Kanye West and the Bodyguard
Kanye also had a moment with paps at an airport. West and his bodyguard Don Crowley got into a physical altercation with a photographer in 2008 at LAX. Both he and Crowley were accused of ruining camera equipment after a photog attempted to take the rapper's photo.

Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber have been reluctant to comment on their relationship -- until now. Gomez stopped by Z100, where she opened up about Bieber and revealed she actually relates to everyone who hates that they are together.
After giggling about Bieber and their tweets to each other, Gomez revealed that it's not always easy dating the most popular boy in the world.

It's time for Regionals! Sue declares World War Sue on Will and the Glee Club, and uses her nefarious wiles to prevent them from singing the song they planned to use in competition. Rachel raises her idea of singing original songs. The other kids are quick to dismiss the notion, until Quinn, angling to insert herself between Finn and Rachel, speaks up in support and convinces everyone else to go along.
Their original efforts are a combination of horribly awesome and awesomely horrible, and earned this episode its grade. But Will steers the kids in the right direction, and they pen a not-horrible anthem celebrating their loserhood. Rachel, meanwhile, stung by the realization that Finn and Quinn are dating, writes a typically whiny diva solo number, which she proceeds to knock out of the park in competition.
