Beyonce & Jay-Z's unborn baby is already making history. It's only fitting right? Thanks to Bey's pregnancy announcement at the MTV VMA's Sunday night, Twitter was set on fire like never before, and MTV raked in history making numbers in their network's history.
Deets inside...
It took Baby Carter's mom and dad some years to start making history. It only took this one a few (about 4) months. In addition to all the hot performers adding to the numbers, once Beyonce held her belly on the MTV red carpet, then dropped the mic and showed her protruding baby bump, ish got crazy.
Reportedly, when Bey made her big reveal, Tweets were sent out via the social networking site at 8,868 tweets per second. This beat the previous record of a little over 7K tweets per second when Japan beat the U.S. Women's soccer team this past summer.
And that's not the only record breaking moment. MTV reports that they had their biggest audience in the network's history with a record-breaking 12.4 million total viewers. 8.5 million of those viewers were ages 12-34.
In addition, the VMAs is the #1 cable telecast of 2011 with 12-34 demo and the #1 non-sports cable telecast of 2011 with total viewers.
And MTV digital saw their largest mobile, twitter, and other social networking numbers in their history.

Prince Harry partied in Croatia over the weekend, spending Saturday night out with friends at an open-air nightclub. He was on the island of Hvar for dancing and drinks at Veneranda, which, despite having a VIP section, Harry enjoyed from the main area. Harry proved why he's the royal with the party-boy reputation when he fell into a pool with all his clothes on, then proceeded to keep dancing on a ledge despite being soaking wet! He was reportedly seen later in a borrowed tee with his button-down wrapped around his waist. Harry flew to Croatia with friends earlier that morning on an EasyJet flight - he's the latest in his family to fly a budget carrier, after William and Kate took a Flybe plane from Manchester back home to Wales following Zara Phillips's July wedding. Harry wrapped up things at the club and headed back with his pals to their temporary accommodation on a yacht docked off the island. His lodgings will likely be less luxurious in the coming months when he heads to America. Prince Harry is confirmed for a stay in Arizona and California, where he'll train on Apache helicopters at US bases.

Heading home after debuting his latest directorial piece, Shia LaBeouf and girlfriend Karolyn Pho were spotted leaving the Silent Movie Theater in Los Angeles, California after last night's (August 28) premiere of "Born Villain."
Making his appearance in full scruff, the "Transformers" fellow donned a blue blazer, red tie and vintage washed jeans to the event while his gorgeous lady friend paired a sleeveless black top with an elegant, flowing red full-length skirt.
The outing follows a reportedly tense evening at the L.A. opening of The Box nightclub on Friday, where sources say Shia and a pal of Marilyn Manson - who stars in "Born Villain" - got into a verbal altercation.
According to the New York Post, Mr. LaBeouf ?exchanged tense words with a friend of Manson?s, who lunged over the table at Shia, and Shia lunged back. Security stepped in quickly and broke it up before any punches were thrown."
The publication then went on to say the 25-year-old had to be escorted out of the establishment by two security guards, however, his rep denies the claim.
The former Disney star's camp told the paper that he ?actually left the club early as planned? exiting through a crowded room was apparently misinterpreted. No altercation occurred."

I've been watching a lot of HGTV since coming to LA. My favorite shows are House Hunters and House Hunters International. There's also another show I like to watch called For Rent, but only because it makes me angry.
When it comes to apartments/homes, I think living in New York for the past eleven years has made me bitter because there was this whiny broad on For Rent a few nights ago who was looking at a huge place—A HUGE PLACE—and was like, "There's no place for a dining room table..."
B*TCH, YOU'RE LUCKY TO GET A KITCHEN IN NEW YORK.
I hated her.
Now there's some stupid lady on House Hunters who wants a townhouse with a fireplace that she can turn on with a light switch. IT HAS TO BE A LIGHT SWITCH because she doesn't want to bend down and flip a switch on the floor.
WHO DO THESE PEOPLE THINK THEY ARE?
Anyway, I know my LA update is WAY overdue (and truth be told I wrote a long one last week but for some reason it didn't save so I lost the whole thing and I was so angry that I just said, "Ah, f*ck it," and closed the computer instead of rewriting) but to give you a quick update, I AM SO HAPPY HERE. I MEAN, I'M REALLY, REALLY HAPPY. And I think living here and watching HGTV—both of these things combined—has made me realize that New York was just beating me down. I mean, the fireplace lady—yes, she's an idiot. But there's nothing wrong with wanting a dining room table. Why did I get so mad at that lady?
Since being here, at least once a day I ask myself why I have lived in New York for so long. (It's like I had Stockholm Syndrome or something.) CALIFORNIA IS AWESOME. It's like the promised land. It's sunny all the time and there are birds and flowers everywhere. I have space out here. I have a sofa on the patio out here. I HAVE A SOFA OUTSIDE. I haven't seen one rat since I've been here. But hummingbirds? THEY ZIP BY MY HEAD EVERY DAY. I am so happy.
I'm supposed to go back to New York in November, but truth be told, I'm not sure I will.
