'Glee' Recap: Season 3, Episode 1

Welcome back, fellow Gleeks! It's a brand-new year at McKinley High, bringing lots of changes. Trouty Mouth, a.k.a. Sam, has left the school. Lauren Tuna, a.k.a. Lauren Zizes, has quit the glee club because it was damaging her coolness factor. And Quinn, a.k.a. Christian Barbie, has turned into Rizzo from Grease, complete with pink hair and nose ring. However, unlike Rizzo, she has no interest in singing, and quits New Directions. And even Santana's pleas of Cheerio solidarity can't get her to change her mind. Oh, and Will and Emma have apparently moved in together.

In terms of actual plot, there are four stories. First, and as always, New Directions has to recruit more members. Unfortunately, Will's harebrained scheme of placing purple pianos around school only attracts one auditioner, who turns out to have the musical sensibility of a howler monkey. and because she can't dance as well as Mike Chang, Will is forced to give her the boot.

Adele Is Forming A Friendship With Her Ex

Adele

"We're becoming friends again. It's alright, I know what I'm doing. Enough time has gone by. Now with what's going on with the album around the world, it's important to be able to share it with him because it's marvelous what has happened. He changed my life, I can't deny that. The album helped me get over splitting up with my boyfriend. It helped me forgive and I hope that he has forgiven himself. I'm not boastful but selling 10 million albums for a little girl from Tottenham, I'm very proud of that."

Adele says she is once again in touch with the mystery guy who inspired the songs "Rolling in the Deep" and "Someone Like You." I'm so glad to hear that she feels largely healed from the breakup, and that she's big enough to acknowledge that, whatever this guy did wrong, he is a small part of her success. If only every woman who went through a painful breakup could create something as amazing as the album 21. [ONTD]

The Situation Lands a Non-Reality TV Gig (Sort Of)

It looks like Mike can stop banging his head against the wall in his search for fame beyond Jersey Shore. Word has it that The Situation has landed a gig on a regular series. Okay, so maybe it?s a stretch to call it a series. It turns out that some web-based show called New Stage has picked him up for an ?acting job.? For once he won?t be his overinflated self on television. Don?t get me wrong, I tolerated Dancing With The Stars with him on it for a few episodes. His ridiculous roast of Donald Trump was actually embarrassing to watch. And his various appearances on talk shows have confirmed that he is an official d-bag. But he is a d-bag who knows how to capitalize on a moment when he sees one. This job will entail him acting like a reality talent judge a la Simon Cowell or Randy Jackson. Here?s what Sitch himself had to say about it: ?We?re gonna do a spoof on judge TV talen? I?ll be like that Simon Cow ? I don?t even know his name? Nobody has ever done something like this? This is a situation in?with [sic] a situation.? That sentences [...]

Heidi Klum: August 2011 issue of Glamour

Heidi Klum

She?s less than two years away from being over the hill, but Heidi Klum is not letting that stop her from oozing sexiness. The Victoria?s Secret bombshell shows off her slim figure in nothing but a pair of J Brand jeans, a floppy hat and Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses in the August 2011 issue of Glamour. Opening up to the magazine about her healthy sex life with husband Seal, Heidi explained how the couple keeps things hot in the bedroom. She revealed, "There's nothing wrong with a nice garter belt," she tells the mag. "I'm not saying you have to put up a pole in your bedroom and start swinging off the rafters. But I love that sometimes! My husband and I just had a 'sexy week' in London. I'd put on a super-short skirt with a garter belt on underneath so that when I'd sit, he could see it. It's fun to sauce it up a little bit." [gallery=759]

Alessandra Ambrosio: Brazil Foundation Gala Dinner Gal

Looking like the picture of elegance, Alessandra Ambrosio was among the attendees at last night's (September 19) Brazil Foundation gala dinner.

Held at the New York City Public Library in Manhattan, the Victoria's Secret bombshell dazzlingly posed in an intricately beaded, nude and silver ball gown, which she accented with sparkling jewelry and silver heels.

As for the event itself, the Brazil Foundation gala dinner worked to spotlight how "Brazil's economic growth and international prominence must walk hand in hand with the responsibility of its use of natural resources and for the development of its people," according to the soiree's website.

This year's gathering brought together more than 500 people from business, media, academic and diplomatic communities of Brazil, the United States and Europe.
